The distribution is available in several versions compatible with the following hardware platforms: x86_64 (64-bit Intel and AMD processors) and AArch64 (64-bit ARMv8 and compatible processors, including Huawei Kunpeng, ThunderX, and others).

ALT Virtualization is an enterprise-level solution that enables migration from proprietary software and hardware to open-source alternatives. You can utilize this distribution in various ways: 

• Basic virtualization for a small number of virtual machines 
• Classic virtualization, which includes isolated virtual machines and containers based on the PVE project (similar to VMware vSphere)
• Enterprise cloud virtualization based on the OpenNebula project (analogous to VMware vCloud)

You can also easily download more programs from the repository or in Flatpak format, allowing you to install over a thousand additional applications to expand the system’s capabilities. Many popular applications are available for download from the application center as well.

ALT SP is an operating system distribution designed for servers and workstations, featuring built-in data protection software. The system has been thoroughly checked for the absence of undocumented features and supports both virtualization and containerization. It adheres to the national security standards of the Russian Federation and is intended for use in information systems that do not process state secrets. The release is based on Platform 10.

There are two versions of the ALT SP operating system available: ALT SP Server and ALT SP Workstation.

Both versions support 64-bit architectures (AMD and Intel) as well as AArch64 (ARMv8) architectures. Users receive updates through a public repository. Additionally, Certificate of Compliance No. 3866, issued on August 10, 2018, by the FSTEC, certifies that the system complies with data protection standards.

The ALT Platform is a technology solution designed for building and distributing systems and application software. It enables users to create custom distributions, establish a branch from a stable repository, or maintain a local copy of a stable branch.

This package includes both a repository and the ALT Platform Builder (APB) server operating system. Based on a stable branch of the Sisyphus project, the ALT Platform repository contains a source code repository complete with change history, as well as a binary package repository that manages dependencies between packages.

The ALT Platform Builder server operating system is included in the ALT Platform repository and is also available as a standalone distribution. The APB allows users to create a maintained and updated mirror of the repository and deploy a build unit.

The ALT Platform builder includes:

• Alterator-mirror - a service for creating a local copy of the ALT Platform.
• Hasher - a tool for building reproducible packages in an isolated environment.
• Gear - a tool for creating RPM packages from Git repositories.
• A set of Mkimage and Mkimage-profiles utilities for building distribution images.

ALT Mobile is an operating system designed for tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices, ensuring a safe and comfortable user experience. It is based on free software (FSO), with all source codes publicly available.
